Animal spirits await the marraige of the sun and the moon. The bifurcating
snakes bottom right emphasize this dichotomy, one of the most apparent
in my art, which I use in roughly the astrological / alchemical sense:
moon = feminine, sensitive, receptive energies; sun = masculine, assertive,
expresive energies. The connection from the moon to the deer's right
eye is being tampered with by a male figure with a hammer. The bird
can be taken to represent the presence of spirit.
